Deliveries come to end
|
Dear Customers, I would like you to thank you for your invaluable custom over the past year and a half throughout COVID using our delivery service. You have allowed us to continue trading, keep staff employed and emerge the other side busier and stronger than before. With that, I have made the difficult decision to stop our delivery service with the last delivery next Friday 10th September. As we get busier in the shop, and demand for our services is changing, I need to spend the time focused on the deli and getting ready for what will undoubtedly be an incredibly busy run up to Christmas. When I set up the delivery service back in March 2020 it was a ‘fight or flight’ reaction to the pandemic. We were lucky to have local suppliers and infrastructure to pivot pretty quickly, never did I think it would get as busy as it did. On some days I was doing 4 full car loaded trips and delivering to around 60 people a day. Thank you for bearing with us whilst we navigated an online system we’d never used before, we were definitely ‘winging it’ at stages! On top of that, this year whilst I have been running the shop, struggling with staff shortages; my parents have voluntarily taken on the role of being delivery driver. Taking up their time to support me, I am forever grateful. I also know that they are so proud and would do anything to help see the success of the business. With their commitments changing I can no longer rely on their generosity in this way. We will continue to offer a click and collect service if you would like to still order via our website, and our popular catering service of large salad bowls, cakes + deli goodies for your events and parties will be available too. Please remember to cancel your subscription if you have one, or we can convert it to click + collect if you are happy to do so. Thank you again for your ongoing support, and I’m sure I will see you in the deli soon Bex and the team x |
